I was privileged to have the opportunity to attend Jon Schallert's Graduate Bootcamp in Colorado a few weeks ago, courtesy of the La Grange Economic Development office. It was a great experience learning new tools to let people know about the gallery and make it a destination that people will want to travel to. I had done the basic bootcamp a few years ago and had learned invaluable strategies that have brought the gallery to what it is today. This camp included other small business owners that had also already done the program and the sharing of their collective experiences was almost as helpful as all that Jon and a team of experts presented.
One of our first tasks was to think about what makes our business unique and different from every other business and to get that put into a succinct statement that will be used every time we share about or promote the gallery. With the help of Bonnie Coffey's research on other galleries in the state and Gene Stowe's magic with words, we are ready to unveil to you our Unique Positioning Statement!
"Art Connections Gallery displays the largest and most eclectic collection of fine arts and artisan works in Texas."
Yep, you read that right. We have works by close to 160 artists and artisans as of today with more coming in every month. Their works number close to 4,000 in multiple disciplines from jewelry to sculpture, paintings to photography, home accessories to children's toys. It it amazing to stand among the many wonderful things that human beings create.
Thank you to all of you who have made this achievement possible: artists, patrons, customers, family, friends. Now help us get the word out.
